Babies' First Christmas: Part 1

These two cute little munchkins had a wonderful first Christmas. I know that it's almost the middle of January, but I just haven't found the time until now to post about it. Oh well. We started the festivities in Paris, Texas with my family on the 19th.My dad recently bought this scooter to take with them when they travel in their motor home, & J thought he needed to try it out. It was freezing, so I contained my excitement & said that I would pass on riding it during this trip.
That Saturday, we opened presents with my parents & my brother & his family. Obviously, Jake & Mal got several things that were fun to chew on. Here they are hard at work breaking them in.
Our nephew Brody loves Justin & loves to play rough with him. The old hanging on the leg trick...works every time.
Can you tell that Brody loves Christmas?
Mal agrees
Nana & Papa with their grandkids
The "boys" got rocket launchers to play with, which they thankfully did outside. Kent got Brody's all put together for him.
We finally convinced Brody to get close to the twins, but he still didn't want to hold them. This is a vast improvement over the last trip, though, when he kept at least a three-foot distance from them.

The twins enjoyed the festivities from their blanket on the floor. We showed them each gift as we opened it & piqued their interest with a few toys, but of course they're not quite old enough to "get" any of the fun this year.

Brody got a little offended at our continual reference to plumbers throughout the day.
Jake thought Uncle Kent was hilarious.

Tuckered out Mal
Jake enjoys screaming it out with Mommy every once in a while.
Sweet girl found the ultimate spot to cuddle - Papa's chest.
All bundled up for church. It was SO COLD that morning!

Having fun with Daddy

On Sunday afternoon, we went over to my aunt & uncle's house to have Christmas with them. Mal hung out with her cousin Jeremy for a while. He's practicing for this Daddy stuff since Noah will be arriving in April.
Jake talking to his cousin Scott...
and hanging out with his cousin Amy (Noah's mommy).
I'll finish out with this little hooligan. He spit up so many times that evening, that we just had to take the shirt off. He didn't seem to mind. Naked is just better in his book.
Our Christmas with the Chamblees & the babies' first plane trip is next. Stay tuned!

Can't wait to see Part 2! We sat next to twins coming back from Cali and they SCREAMED the whole way. I was hoping that wasn't your experience!
