Planes, Trains & Automobiles

*(Blogger isn't allowing me to arrange my pictures quite like I want to, but I'm tired of fighting with it.  So that's why a few of them in this post have weird placements.)

We celebrated Beau's birthday a couple of weeks ago with a "trains, planes & automobiles" party since he loves all things that go!

I found these invites on Etsy that were just perfect for the occasion.
The birthday boy had to be woken up from his nap to join in the festivities, so he was a bit of a grump when the party began. At least he looked cute!  His adorable airplane shirt is courtesy of his very talented Aunt Rachel.

This was definitely an easy theme to decorate for since we own plenty of vehicle toys.  Party food included sausage pinwheels, stoplight rice krispie treats, veggies, fruit, sugar cookie favors and of course, a Haylee Cake!

Beau and his friends had fun tossing vehicles into buckets, making transportation fun-foam picture frames and playing Pin the Wheels on the Car.

Happy birthday to Beau!

He needed a little help from Mommy to blow out the candles.

Yea!!
After the guests left, our family stuck around for dinner & some gift-opening.  As you can see, there's just something really fun about putting a bucket on your head.  Great buys from Target's dollar section!

Beau's friends all brought toys to be donated to patients at Medical City Children's Hospital, so I'm looking forward to taking them there.  We've collected toys for them once before, and they do a great job of helping even young ones like Beau to see their donations making a difference for other children.
Despite having to move the party to the afternoon to accommodate our soccer schedule at the last minute, we had a great group of friends & family there to celebrate our sweet Beau Harrison.  It was a fun day!
