As I mentioned in my last post, our beach vacation was kind of a comedy of errors. I already wrote about Jake being sick the week before we left. Unfortunately, the bug stayed with us just long enough to share it with the entire family. I think Uncle Mark was the only family member who completely escaped the stomach bug. Sorry everyone! Mal never threw up but had some nasty diapers. I was actually sick while trying to pack the day before we left. Not ideal, but what can you do?
We began our vacation on way too little sleep. J & I were foolish enough to attend a Keith Urban concert the night before our flight. We had a great time but only ended up getting three hours of sleep before getting up in time for our 7:00 am flight.
Having fun with the big windows in the airport before we took off.
Jake learned a new skill on the plane: scrolling through pictures on Daddy's iTouch. It was so cute to watch his little finger swipe across the screen to move to the next picture. Kids are fast learners!
My cuddle buddy!
Once we got there, Mal quickly made friends with Uncle Mark.

This was our first day on the beach.
Mal was a little worried at first.

I think Jake looks like a little old man here!
Ooh, sand!
Fun cousin time!

Who wouldn't want to hug this sweet girl?
She shares her hugs, too!
By the second day, the twins were loving the beach!
This is my favorite picture from the trip!
We decided that the high chairs the kids used while we were there were magic...they induced spontaneous pooping! Mal's blowout on this day was so bad, we had to just put her in a trash bag to get her upstairs into the bath.
Speaking of baths, Jake & Mal shared bath time one night with Belle.
Belle thought Jake might taste good for lunch.
These weren't the houses we stayed in, but they were pretty.
The jogging stroller was perfect for the beach!

We had a great time!
Tired babies in the airport on our way home. Our sweet family, thanks for putting up with the sickness so we could spend time with you. We love you!

Those pictures are SO cute!! I love the one with Mal in the trash bag...I am not looking forward to the days of solid(ish) poop. Those kids are going to LOVE growing up with so many cousins! Miss you.
Oh my goodness...Mal in a trashbag! Hilarious!
Bless your hearts! Other than the sickness, looks like fun. Those kids are going to have a blast growing up and vacationing together :)
Those are great pictures! Mallory looks so tiny in the picture where you are holding her on the plane.
