Our old vacuum was one that we bought when we got married five years ago. It's been fine but not great, but you can't really complain too much when you go for the $50 model. Since moving to our new house, though, we've had a new challenge. Our carpet "fuzzes" terribly. I've vacuumed relentlessly, but we would still find fuzz balls all over the carpet that the vacuum missed.
This problem became a much bigger problem when we found that Mallory likes to eat the fuzz. We would notice her chewing & then find that she had fuzz in her mouth. She didn't want to swallow it (as far as we know) but relished the chance to just chew on that fuzz. Gross! Digging it out of her mouth as she clenched her jaw shut wasn't much fun either, so we decided we might need a better vacuum.
Enter the Hoover Elite Rewind Upright Cleaner! This picture was taken after we had vacuumed only half of our living room. Check out that huge fuzz ball! After cleaning all of our carpet & emptying the canister numerous times, I think we have a solution to our fuzz problem.
Poor Mal now looks around a bit forlornly, trying in vain to find fuzz to chew.
Here are just some other random pics of late. Not sure why blogger wants this one of Jake sideways. He is supposed to be upside down in it, but oh well.
Playing with shoes is way better than wearing them!
The Chamblee family on Memorial Day before we headed to the 2nd Annual Fowler Cookout. It was lots of fun!
Messy Mal!
Both kids were wiped out after our potluck lunch at church on Sunday. They did both have on shoes & socks when we went to church.

I love the new pictures and the new vaccum. I got rid of our vaccum when we moved. I was so happy to get rid of the cheap Target one I inherited when I married Wes. This one may be in the running for our new one.
Love the pics, especially you with the fuzzball!
Great pics! Not only do you have adorable subjects in your house, but you also have a fabulous camera. We are in the market for a new one... can you tell me what yours is and if you recommend it? :)
My MIL (who is an interior decorator) told us that carpet with polyester in it does the "fuzzies." Who knew?
