Beau Harrison at 1 Month

Almost a week late, I'm finally getting around to posting about Beau at one month! Our little man hit this milestone last Sunday had his check-up with the pediatrician on Tuesday. I haven't quite figured out the best way to take his picture in the hippo chair yet, so we have several poses. I think the chair will work much better for growth pics once he can sit up.
Here are Beau's 1-month stats:

Weight: 9 lb (25%)
Height: 21.25 inches (30%)
Head: 15.25 (73%)

Those figures may not sound like much to some, but they're huge compared to what we're used to in our household. Seriously, have you seen our extended families? Being in the thirtieth percentile for height is about as impressive as it gets! Justin & I are having to adjust to having a normal sized baby, & I can't believe that my tiny baby is already a thing of the past. We're so thankful that our little chunky monkey is healthy & growing well!
A few other things for me to remember about Beau at this age:

• He has begun to have at least one long stretch of about 5.5 hours between night feedings. If I'm lucky, I can get two stretches like that out of him, & we only have one middle of the night feeding.
• He is wearing newborn diapers now, but I'm moving him up to size 1 as soon as the newborn box runs out.
• He still has a few newborn clothes that fit, but is wearing lots of 0-3 month & 3 month sizes.
• I've managed to get a few wide, gummy grins out of him when I kiss his face. This is much more likely to happen if his belly is full.
• We're trying to do tummy time several times throughout the day, & he usually tolerates it well for about ten minutes.
• He is mesmerized by ceiling fans & the dragonfly on his bouncy seat.
• Beau has a very stern disposition much of the time & can duplicate Mal's furrowed brow quite well. He always looks like he's deep in thought.
  

We love our sweet Beau & feel so blessed to have him as part of our family!
